BlizzCon 2021 has started off strong with a long list of exciting news for fans. Renamed BlizzConline 2021 due to this year’s online-only situation, the keynote ushered in a roar of excitement with the announcement of Diablo II Resurrected — a remastered version of the classic Blizzard game from 2000.
Much like the remastering of Starcraft: Brood Wars, graphics can be swapped at the push of the button to compare now from old, and gameplay will be identical to the original. The exciting news does not stop there as it was also announced that Diablo II Resurrected will be made available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Microsoft Xbox Series X and S, and Xbox One. All versions will share cross-progression.
On top of the Diablo II remaster unveiling, other exciting news came in the form of a new look at the Rogue class for Diablo IV, a World of Warcraft Classic Burning Crusade announcement, Overwatch 2 updates, Hearthstone Deep Dive matches, and even a special Star Craft “Legends” treat seeing matches by legendary SC players like Mvp, Rain, effort, and NesTea, to name a few, with all games cast by OGs Artosis and Tasteless.
